MAINTENANCE & AVAILABILITY PLANNING
Plan maintenance. Protect availability. Cut downtime.
Preventive maintenance planning driven by telematics counters, mileage, and time limits. Configurable intervals per wagon type, automated lead times, maintenance windows tracked across the full fleet. Workshop coordination with documentation, approval workflows, and audit trail. Restriction and maintenance blocks enforced automatically, wagons can’t be assigned to orders while they’re out.

KEY FEATURES
Telematics counters trigger the plan; the workshop coordinates the work; dispatch sees what is available and what is out, so fleet, workshops, and operations stop fighting each other for the same wagon.
WORKSHOP
Workshops on the same page as fleet.
Every maintenance event runs through one workflow: scheduling, documentation, approvals, and the audit trail behind them. Own workshops, contract workshops, and external partners all work from the same record, so the wagon does not get lost between two systems.
ECM-ready audit trail throughout, for wagon keepers and the operators they run for. The compliance evidence is a by-product of the work, not a separate file to assemble.
Photos, work orders, parts lists, certificates, attached to the wagon record at the event, not scattered across email and shared drives.
Approval workflows
Per-line-item approval with auto-approval thresholds you control. Routing rules for cost ranges, wagon types, and customer-related fleets.
Every event, decision, and document logged in sequence, ready for the keeper, the operator, and the regulator.

Three triggers, configurable per wagon type: telematics counters (mileage from the device), time limits (calendar-based for inspections, certifications, revisions), and condition events where the device supports them. Rules combine, whichever fires first creates the maintenance event with the right lead time.
All three. Own workshops, contract workshops, and external partners all coordinate through the same workflow, same documentation, same approval rules, same audit trail. External partners get scoped access without seeing the rest of the fleet. Routing rules per workshop, wagon type, and cost range configure in the UI.
Every maintenance event, decision, document, and approval is logged in sequence on the wagon record. The ECM-ready audit trail is produced as a by-product of the work, not a separate compliance exercise. Used today by wagon keepers and the operators they run for. Exportable per wagon, period, or regulatory request.
The block can be overridden - the real world includes exceptions - but every override is logged with reason, approver, and timestamp. The audit trail stays intact, the wagon record shows the override, and the original maintenance event stays open until the work is completed. Nothing slips silently around a block.
Availability flows onto the TMS planboard, blocked wagons grey out at the moment of assignment, with the return date on hover. Master Data & Telematics feeds the triggers; Damage Management can promote a damage into a maintenance event. Start standalone or as part of Fleet Management.
MORE FROM FLEET MANAGEMENT
Discover the other Fleet Management capabilities that feed Maintenance & Availability Planning, and the way availability flows into the rest of the Rail-Flow platform.

Master Data & Telematics
Wagon master data from RSRD² in one step. Live position, mileage, and condition from telematics, the record every damage attaches to.

Damage Management
Damages captured digitally with GCU / AVV-standard codes, routed to contract workshops, approved per line item. Damages can promote straight into maintenance events.

Transport Management (TMS)
The operating layer for rail and intermodal logistics. Live wagon availability from the fleet record feeds dispatch, planning, and the customer view, every wagon visible end to end.
